MFA Thesis - Toward Remission
2005 - 06 . concept interaction development
This is my graduate thesis project, and by far, the most enjoyable learning experience of my life. Conceived and developed over 18 months, the project is an interactive visualization that examines human presence in the context of Earth as a living system. It forces the audience to wrestle with issues of behavior, consequence and sustainable co-existence.

ImagePaint
ImagePaint was conceived as a plugin for Adobe Illustrator to create dynamic collages using images from the Internet. Paths or shapes within Illustrator would be tagged with keywords. The plugin would source images based on those keywords and populate the corresponding wireframes. The size, shape, orientation and placement of the images would be controlled by the algorithm selected. The resulting collage could also be set to refresh periodically.

Package Status
This was designed in response to an information design problem presented to my studio class at Parsons. We were tasked with devising a visual language to represent all stages of a package in as it passed through Siemens's logistics facility. My design allowed for packages to be represnted at various degrees of scale, reported status and also allowed for filtering based on a number of criteria.

Title Sequences
2005 . concept production print
I designed the opening and closing title sequences for the movie Patch Adams as part of a re-design assignment at Parsons. As it turned out, my storyboard sketches felt more appropriate than the live action footage I'd shot, and I ended up using them in the sequence.
